A new public international school will be starting up in Kalundborg in August 2025 to accommodate the influx of international residents. Students from families ”temporarily residing in Denmark” will be given priority for admission. Available spaces will be assigned on the basis of specific enrollment criterias - please refer to www.isk.aula.dk for more information.
Bilingual Programme
At ISK, students will participate in a bilingual programme. Classes in mathematics, science, and English will be taught in English, while other subjects will be conducted in Danish. The school has a maximum student capacity of 120. We will start with grades 0 - 7 in August 2025; adding grade 8 in 2026 and grade 9 in 2027. Some classes are expected to be mixed-age classes, depending on the number of enrolled Students.
School Facilities
International School of Kalundborg will be located in existing buildings next to Herredsåsen School. The two schools will share specialized classrooms with Herredsåsen School. These will include a library, cafeteria, science labs, craft & design workshops, an art room, a makerspace and sport facilities.
SFO (after-school programme)
International School of Kalundborg will offer an after-school programme (SFO) for students from grades 0 to 6 in collaboration with Herredsåsen School.
