The city of Kalundborg is home to one of the largest commercial areas in Zealand outside of Copenhagen. Therefore, the local Municipality is keen to ensure easy access to traffic connections to and from the city. Currently they are working on the development of improved infrastructure around the harbor, routes 22 and 23, the Kattegat connection, and the Northwest Railway.

So, whether you are coming to Kalundborg or leaving again, there’s easy access via both car and public transport.

There are three main roads going into Kalundborg from respectively north, south and east. So, no matter where you come from, simply plot in your location on your GPS and your next stop could be Kalundborg.

Another option is catching the train from Copenhagen to Kalundborg, it leaves every hour and stops on the way in places like Holbæk and Roskilde. The main train station is situated in the middle of Kalundborg city, close to shops and other amenities. And the last stop on the line is Kalundborg East (also called Biotekbyen), which is close to the biotech cluster and the town hall.

A number of local buses also service the municipality, so even if you don’t have a car, you can still get around.
