SFO - After School Program

Most Danish children aged 6-9 attend SFO 1 after school.

This is where they meet up with their friends.

It is possible to sign up for full-time SFO, allowing children to come in in the morning before school and again after school. There’s also the option to just have an afternoon spot.

The after-school programs are part of the primary school system and are attached to the individual primary schools. The school Head has overall educational and administrative responsibility. The school board supervises the after-school program, approves the budget of the institution, etc. You can read more here.
