Information for Ukrainian citizens

In order for your child to start primary school, you must contact the district school in the area in which the child lives. It is the district school that can enroll the student.

Step 2 - go to the field ”søg adresse”

Scroll down the page, to søg adresse:

Step 3 - enter address

Enter your address as shown in the picture:

Step 4 - Contact the school

Once you have entered your address, a box with the name of the district school will appear.

This is the school you should contact about enrolling your child in school.

Important information about the schools if your child is to start in 7th-9th grade

The schools below only go up to and including 6th grade, so students in 7th-9th grade. class are referred to a school other than the district school.

Go to borger.dk

• On borger.dk select the “Børnepasning”(Childcare) tab.
• Then you need to choose “Fritidsordninger og Fritidshjem (Leisure schemes and  Leisure centers).
• Then you must choose which municipality you live in and click on start next to Ansøg om optagelse i fritidsordning (Apply for admission to the leisure scheme).
• Click  Videre (next).
• You are now switched to Digital Childcare Place allocation (Digital Pladsanvisning).
• Log on with NemID/MitID.
• You must now click on your child's name and then on Opskriv (Register).
• Then follow the instructions.

Withdrawal

Please note that withdrawal from SFO can take place at the earliest after the current month + one month. Withdrawal also takes place via Digital Childcare Place Allocation.

When you enter the Digital Pladsanvisning and have chosen Kalundborg Municipality, there is a tab with the name of the parent who has logged on and a tab per. child.

Under the parent tab, you can apply for financial free space. This can only be done after a place has been accepted. See the guide Økonomisk fripladstilskud -tilskud til betaling af dagtilbud og SFO (Financial free space subsidy - subsidy for payment of day care and SFO) for more information on how to apply for financial free space.

On the tab with the child's name it says Opskriv (Register) and this is where you choose the offer. You can write your child up to a 1st and 2nd priority. You must go through these 8 pages:

Instructions for signing your child up for childcare services (for children aged 0-6 years)

• Log on to the Digital Childcare Place Allocation application (Digital Pladsanvisning) using your NemID
• In the top tab you will find your own name, as well as the names of your child/ children. Click on the name of the child you want to sign up.
• Then press the bar which says "opskriv" (“sign up”) under the child's name.

At the bottom of the page to the left, in the search box "simpel søgning" (“simple search”), fill in the date from which you require childcare. You can only sign up to start childcare either from the 1st or the 16th of the month.

Then, you write what the "distrikt"(“district”) is – meaning your guarantee of childcare district (garantidistrikt).

Under "pasning" (“childcare”), select "Dagtilbud 0 - 3 år" for day nurseries (vuggestue) and childminders (dagplejere) or "Dagtilbud 3 - 6 år" for kindergartens →press "vis muligheder" (“show options”) in the lower right corner.

The step “vælg pasning” only appears if you have already made an application! You must confirm that you still want the same daycare offer that you already have signed your child up for by choosing the daycare offer they fall under.

Under the heading "vælg pasning"(“choose daycare”), you must either choose Dagtilbud 0-3 år or Dagtilbud 3-6 år. → press "Fortsæt" (“Continue”)

You will then get the opportunity to add new requests to your application. You should now follow the rest of the instructions.

On the page “Søgeresultat”, press "vælg"(“choose”) next to each of the institutions you would like to add. Afterwards, beside each choice that you make, a box appears wherein you have to choose whether you would like to sign your child up for part-time or full-time care.

If you want to sign your child up for e.g. a place for 3-6 year olds, while you also have already signed your child up for a place for 0 - 3 year olds, you should press "Ny søgning" (“new search”) now.

Go through step 1 and step 3 again - REMEMBER to correct the date and the type of care.

Once you have chosen all the institutions you want to sign your child up to press “næste” (“next”) in the lower right corner.

Please note that in the blue square on the right, you can keep track of which institutions you have signed your child up to → press "næste" in the lower right corner.

On the page “Prioritering” you get an overview of the chosen institutions. On this page, it is possible to change the order of the requested institutions or delete some institutions → press "næste" (“next”) in the lower right corner.

Here, you can choose which mother tongue your child speaks and write the desired daycare hours. This will only be indicative. Please note! The hours within which you would like childcare are only mandatory if you have requested a childminder (dagpleje) for your child - you must fill out the times XX: XX before you can proceed with the sign-up.

Please use the comment box if you have any comments regarding the sign-up. If you are moving from one residence to another within Kalundborg Municipality or moving from another municipality to Kalundborg Municipality, you must enter your new address and your moving date→ press “næste” (“next”) in the lower right corner.

Fill in your marital status and contact information. It is important that you confirm that the e-mail address is correct → press "næste" (“next”) in the lower right corner.

On this page, you will get a final overview of the institutions you have signed your child up to, if your application is as it should be. Press "send opskrivning" (“submit sign-up”) in the lower right corner.

If you want to edit any information, press "ret oplysninger" (“edit information”) at the bottom of the page. You will be transferred back to step 4 "prioritering" (“prioritising”/”order of choices”).

Then, if you want to add one or more requests, select "ny søgning" (“new search”) and you will then be transferred back to step 1 "søg institution", where you need to go through points 1-7.

Once the application has been submitted, a receipt of the submission will appear. Please note!
A receipt will also be sent to your ‘post’ on your Digital Childcare Place Allocation application (“Digital Pladsanvisning”).

If the family's total household income is below a certain limit, you can get an extra subsidy from the municipality, so it will be cheaper or completely free to have the child in day care. It is called a financial free space subsidy. You must apply for a financial free place subsidy from the municipality to be eligible for the subsidy.

The household income is calculated on the basis of the persons who live in a marriage-like relationship with each other. That is, if one e.g. living with his sister or parent, their income will not be included in the calculation of the total household income.

Income basis - Household income

The taxable income is included in the household income.

When applying for a financial vacancy subsidy, the starting point must be the monthly household income. The monthly household income must then be converted to an annual income (multiplied by 12).

• up to DKK 187,900 - full free space
• DKK 187,901 to DKK 583,699 - partial free space
• DKK 583,700 or more - full parental payment.

When the municipality has to calculate and later recalculate your financial free place subsidy for the specific month, the municipality is therefore based on the household's monthly income. For the purpose of recalculating the monthly free place subsidy, the information on the monthly income is deducted from the Danish Tax Agency's so-called income register.

Thus, it is not the income seen over an entire year that is decisive for the free space subsidy in the individual month.

The income limits are increased by:

• DKK 7,000 for each child living at home under the age of 18 in addition to the first child living at home
• DKK 5,747 when the parent who has the right to the place and to the free place supplement is a single parent (2022).

Apply on borger.dk when you have been allocated a daycare place (nursery, daycare, kindergarten) or when your child has been registered in SFO.

• On borger.dk you must select the tab Børnepasning.
• Then you have to choose  Økonomisk fripladstilskud, søskendetilskud og andre tilskud
• Then you must choose which municipality you live in and click on start.
• Click on Videre.
• Now you are switched to Digital Pladsanvisning.
• Log on with MitID
• You must now click on your own name to make a vacancy application (not your child's name)
• Then follow the instructions.

Monthly recalculation

The municipality obtains information about the part of the individual month's household income that is reported to the income register. In this connection, the municipality makes a comparison of the part of the provisionally calculated income, which relates to income in the income register, with the actual registered income information in the register.

The municipality performs a recalculation of the specific month's provisional free space allowance if the income comparison shows a deviation of at least 5 steps on the free space scale. After consulting the parties, the municipalities must then as soon as possible deduct too much allocated financial free space subsidy or add too little allocated financial free space subsidy to the next collection of parental payment for a place in a day care service.

In the special cases where any under-allocated financial vacancy allowance must be deducted from the next collection of parental payment, and this exceeds the parents' remaining part of the payment, the remaining part of the amount can be paid back to the parent or parents who are entitled to the allowance.

Annual adjustment

Once a year, the annual adjustment is made, which is a final statement of the individual months 'household income, and on the basis of this, a final calculation is made of the individual months' financial vacancy allowance.
