On May 15th, Jobcenter - Work in Kalundborg hosted a career fair at Kalundborg Hallerne, where over 1000 candidates from across Denmark gathered to explore the opportunities for working, studying, and living in the municipality. Participants met representatives from some of the largest companies in Denmark as well as many other interesting local companies looking for new employees.
The companies were overwhelmed by the great interest at the fair and were positively impressed by the large turnout. The candidates were highly motivated - and had the right qualifications.
The career fair was held to support the enormous growth in Kalundborg, which means a significant and increasing need for labor. The city is experiencing rapid development and already houses the world's largest insulin factory, the world's largest enzyme production, and is known for the Kalundborg Symbiosis. There are also smaller companies in need of labor, a burgeoning educational environment, and a unique community. And there is a focus on accelerating the green transition.
Kalundborg has an active business community, and there is both a need for - and room for - many more.
The career fair was organised by Jobcenter - Work in Kalundborg in close collaboration with the Alliance Biotekbyen, Kalundborgegnens Erhvervsråd, and the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment AMK Øst.
