Study Start Party 2023

Join us for an exiting evening where you can meet and hang out with other local students for a night of fun.

There are two parts to the event:

Part 1: For new students on higher education programmes: social activities, welcome speech by the Mayor and communal dining.

Part 2: For all students on higher education programmes and apprentices: concert with JJ Paulo and afterparty with DJ.

Part 1

16.30: City walk

We meet in front of Cafe Costa Kalundborg at the harbor, Vestre Havneplads 3, 4400 Kalundborg, where an experienced guide shows us some of the hidden gems, that are essential to know!

The tour ends at the old and beautiful theatre venue, Postgaarden, where you'll be treated to an exclusive programme.

17.30: Welcome drink with mayor Martin Damm

18.00: Mexican buffet

19.00: Games and fun

Part 2

19.30: Venue opens for all students in Kalundborg

20:00: Concert – JJ Paulo with band. JJ Paulo is a famous danish-tanzanian artist who plays hot afrobeat.

21:00: DJ

23:00: Event closes

Practical information

Admission is free for students in Kalundborg Municipality.

Registration through your local student coordinator. You will receive a wristband, that must be shown at the door in Postgaarden.

Free water is available. All other drinks can be bought at the bar, you must be over 18 to buy alcoholic beverages. The bar only takes danish cash or Mobilepay - no credit card.
